Helping Hands Nepal is a nonprofit non-governmental organization or NGO. It was established in 2001 and is affiliated with the District Administrative Office of Kathmandu. Originally it was located in Dalkho Kathmandu and provided free health check-ups for poor and needy people.
Unfortunately this free program in Dalkho was financially unsuccessful. At that point we moved the NGO to Chabahil Chowk. Here we provided the same services: free medicine and free check- ups. The program was successful and the number of patient increased day by day. We operated the program from a small home with an X-ray machine, a small laboratory, a portable ultrasound machine, and a limited pharmacy. Our friends in other countries donated medicine and hospital equipment.
